Hovik Amo would always get a kick out of us (tinas best friends) calling him "Amo" aka uncle in the western dialect. It was a unique term of respect for him and he always laughed and loved it when I addressed him until of course he got used to it over the course of over 20 years. I'm lucky to have experienced so much of life with his guidance and inspirational words/speeches he would give us on the table in the backyard. He was the one that took me to El Sauz for the first time and he was always quizzing us on math questions when he would pick us up from school. I've had so many memories with him in the picture. On numerous occasions I slept over for multiple days in a row not wanting to leave not just because of the company of my best friend but also because he made his home a place I could also call my second home. He was like a second father to me and I enjoyed growing up under his wing too. All the bear stories, times he fed us fresh fish, USA socks, surprise cars, surprise dogs/birds/misc, "love you infinities" - will forever remain in my heart.

I remember the story of when you all slept over and every hour he would check in and bring a new thick wool blanket and layer it on top of the last 5 blankets. And you all were sweating so hard 🤣 but he made it his job to be the look out and night guard every time. 💛 Hovik Amo loved you and our friends so much, like you were his own.
